72V Battery & 84V Charger Output

A lithium-ion battery marketed as 72V typically uses a 20-series (20S) configuration.

For a conventional Li-ion 20S battery:

20 × 4.2V = 84V

Therefore, an 84V charger output is appropriate for a compatible fully charged 72V nominal 20S lithium-ion battery pack.

The charger should not be used with a different battery chemistry or series configuration unless the battery manufacturer’s specifications specifically confirm compatibility.

10A Fast Charging

With a maximum charging current of 10A, the charger can provide significantly faster charging than a lower-current charger.

Actual charging time depends on:

• Battery capacity (Ah)
• Battery state of charge
• BMS charging-current limit

For example, a 72V 45Ah battery theoretically requires approximately 4.5 hours at 10A under ideal conditions, but actual charging time can be longer because charging current normally reduces near full charge.
